Chinese New Year – ‘Lai See and Gifts’

Earlier this month, you received a letter from HKCC Chairman highlighting a number of topics including Chinese New Year ‘Lai See and gifts’.

During Chinese New Year, in order to express Member’s appreciation and thanks to the Club and Dot Cod Staff for services during the past year, you are offered the opportunity to contribute a wholly voluntary sum to a ‘Staff Fund’ by way of a ‘Lai See’.

In the past, should you wish to contribute to the ‘Staff Fund’, the Club has favored an ‘opt-in’ policy. However, after having reviewed Member’s comments and suggestions, the General Committee has decided this year to adopt an ‘opt-out’ policy for Member’s contributions.

As such, the Club will debit one month’s subscription (HK$1,660.-) from Member’s account at the December 2017 statement and autopay transfer at the end of January 2018.

As always, participation in this fund is voluntary. If any Member prefers to either change the amount of their donation or ‘opt-out’ of contributing completely, please inform us through this form on or before 10 January 2018.  We will then remove your name on the contribution list.

Please note that the General Committee forbids the practice of personal offerings and donations of ‘Red Packets’ to individual members of staff.

On behalf of the Members of Staff, I will take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your generous support.

I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Xmas and happy, healthy and prosperous 2018.
